Task 3.3a Cause and Effect

Title: Wear Shoes
PSA Topic: Wearing Shoes
First narrative line of text: When you walk without shoes, your feet becomes vulnerable.
[A: eye-level, S: establishing/long shot, then to head-on shot]

Second line: When your feet becomes and vulnerable, you become sick.
[A: low angle, S: closeup]

Third line: When you become sick, you can't go to school for a while.
[A: high angle, S: extremely closeup]

Fourth line: When you can't go to school for a while, you lose friends.
[A: low angle, S: medium dolly shot]

Fifth line: When you lose friends, you eat alone.
[A: dutch, S: long establishing shot, then to tracking medium shot]

Sixth line: When you eat alone, you lose self-esteem.
[A: aeriel, S: long tracking shot]

Conclusion: Don't lose self-esteem... Wear shoes on outdoors

Script CP 5: Script Scenes

Type of Film: Documentary
Title of Film: A Whole Process

ACT 1
Scene 1
Location: School (Entrance)
Actors: Boy 1 (Yazeed), students trying to get to school
Props: Natural Setting (in school uniform)
Summary of scene: Yazeed gets to school and is asked if he likes school. And what about the school he likes (mainly academics, sports, community).

Scene 2
Location: School (Library)
Actors: Boy 1 (Yazeed)
Props: Natural setting (in school uniform)
Summary of scene: Yazeed is studying at school, and finishing his homework. He is concentrating very hard. He is asked what he wants to become when he grows up, and a second option. What do academics and soccer mean to him? What are the challenges in keeping the balance between the two?

ACT 2
Scene 1
Location: School (Field)
Props: Natural Setting (in soccer clothes)
Summary of scene: Yazeed is playing soccer very diligently. He even stays a little bit after to get advice from his coach and practices a little bit more than everyone else by juggling a soccer ball. He finally leaves with a group of friends back him. (It's night and dark). He is asked of his strengths and weaknesses in soccer, and how he tries to improve himself.

Scene 2
Location: School (Weight Room)
Props: Natural Setting (in gym clothes)
Summary of scene: It's another day for Yazeed. He is training hard at the gym. He is asked to show him improvements in strength by revealing his progression from a lighter weight to a heavier weight, and running records. He is asked why he works so hard at the gym.

Scene 3
Location: Yazeed's Home
Props: Natural Setting (in normal/casual clothes)
Summary of scene: Yazeed takes care of his younger brother and plays with him. He is showing his normal self at his house (eating snacks, interactions with his brother, his homework, his use of freetime). When he watches soccer clips, he is asked how often he watches soccer clips and why he watches them so frequently.

ACT 3
Scene 1
Location: School (Field)
Props: Natural Setting (in soccer clothing/school soccer jersey in case it's a soccer match)
Summary of scene: He is diligently playing soccer again. A set of highlights of his soccer skills will flash throughout the scene. His team-mates (Roland and Shu) are asked what they think of Yazeed. Also, his friends are asked what they think of Yazeed.

Scene 2
Location: School (Mr. Creech's Room)
Props: Natural Setting (in school uniform)
Summary of scene: Mr. Creech is asked about his relationship with Yazeed, what he thinks of Yazeed. Also, Mr. Creech is asked of his hopes and expectations for Yazeed. Yazeed is asked a final question: At the end of the day (training and studying), what do you want to feel like?
